A River Reborn has been the recipient of three awards:

NAAEE Award

A River Reborn received the "Audience Favorite Award" at the 2007 annual conference of the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE).

At the 4th annual ARTIVIST Film Festival in Hollywood, CA, Ted Danson received the "Artivist Award" for his narration of A River Reborn and his lifetime contributions to environmental awareness.
